Airport reconstruction

Reconstruction of the airport started in 2010, with financing from the budget of the Republic of Kazakhstan. After three years of works Kokshetau Airport was actually built anew: new runway 2850 metres long, new terminal apron, access road and branch railway line were built, passenger terminal was fully reconstructed and the whole infrastructure of fuel and lubrication materials service was created anew.

Integral Systems won a tender for supply of all information systems for the airport:

  • Airport operational database IS-AODB
  • Departure Control System IS-DCS
  • Flight Information Display System IS-FIDS
  • System of automated calculation of aircraft weight and balance IS-W&B 560

Implementation of IS-AODB and IS-DCS systems enabled to automatize preparation of all commercial flight documentation: loadsheet, load assignment, baggage and passenger register, passenger manifest. Besides, implementation of IS-DCS system of registration enabled to handle flights of any airline and to meet their demands related to exchange passengers data and standard SITA messages.

Specialists of Integral Systems together with our specialists carried out transfer and acceptance procedure in the presence of airport representatives and numerous commissions of the customer. Beyond that specialists of Integral Systems fulfilled, without compensation, additional requirements of the airport that had not been included in the initial project. As a result of this collaborative work information systems of the airport were successfully commissioned to the customer among the first parts of the project.

International airport

In the beginning of 2013 the airport gained international status and was connected to SITA message exchange system and immediately after that Transaero Airlines started to operate the first international flight Kokshetau-–Moscow.

IS-DCS system was integrated with Amadeus airline ticket reservation system so the airport was able to register passengers of Transaero airlines.

Collaborative work with Riga guys in our airport gave us the opportunity to implement passenger registration system at the terminal and to connect it with airline tickets reservartion system. They installed visual information system as well. We are grateful to our partners for their work.

Aircraft weight and balance calculation system IS-W&B 560 installed in the airport in accordance with AHM-560 promptly receives data about passengers, baggage, cargo, mail from the registration system and automatically calculates Dry Operating Index and %MAC.

Results of the reconstruction

kok_priz2 Reconstruction of Kokshetau Airport resulted in more than 60% increase of handled passengers. The work was not left unnoticed and in 2013 the airport was deservedly awarded by the Civic Aviation Association «Airport» prize as a dynamically developing CIS airport. Representatives of the airport had an honour to receive this prize in Moscow from representatives of the Association.
